She was barefoot and wearing her nightgown, never realizing a predator waited in the shadows just outside her home. Nicole Brown was born in Frankfurt, West German, on the 19th of May 1959 and relocated with her family to Garden Grove, CA as a child. Unfortunately, little is known about Brown herself, and her name is forever synonymous with the tragedy that befell her on the night of June 12, 1994, when she was brutally murdered outside her condo in Brentwood, CA.

A chimney juts out from the roof, though Nevada residents are rarely in need of a wood-burning fire. Around the garage, some of the light-colored paint is flaking, revealing a cornea-scorching bright orange underneath. Aaren tragically fell into the family’s swimming pool in 1979 and went into a coma, dying only a few days before her second birthday.

During his school years, OJ Simpson played for the USC Trojans of the University of Southern California, where he won a Heisman Trophy in 1968. Only a year after his Heisman win, OJ was selected as the first pick in the first round of the 1969 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, where he played from 69 to 77. He would later be traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 1978, where he played with the team for two seasons before his retirement from the NFL in 1979 and go on to pursue a career in acting. There’s not much room to hide anymore, as the main level is completely open with tile floors, modern fixtures, floating staircases and an 84-bottle wine rack. The living room boasts a built-in fireplace, while the black-and-white kitchen adds a 19-foot island. On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were found murdered at her condo in Brentwood.

Designed with stucco walls and shallow, red-tiled roofing, Mediterranean architecture is a blend of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese building styles. These homes often boast prominent arches alongside details like heavy wooden doors and ornate carvings. Featuring large windows, verandas, and balconies, it’s the ideal dwelling for those in warm, southern climates. The roomy, light-filled log homes we find today aren’t quite the log cabins of the 1800s. Traditional frontier-style log homes were rectangular, contained only one room, and had at least one glass window. More contemporary takes on this style often feature grand porches, numerous windows to let in natural light, and a larger footprint.

Rockingham became a tourist (and locals) magnet after the grisly murders. Kaufman and Broad considered tearing the house down or retrofitting it to conform to the neighborhood and attract conventional buyers. But the most cost-effective way was to simply sell it, even if it was below market value. During the broadcast, the winning number was flashed onscreen. What the network needed was a promotional vehicle—something to drive interest in both the show and its ancillary products.

As a means to try and discourage tourism and try to give the building new life, the owners of the home even changed the address, but that has done little to keep onlookers away. With her husband and two boys, Danielle became the first—and only—occupant of the Simpson house. While the outside had been repainted, the interior was a dizzying palette of primary colors. The team’s goal was to be 90 percent normal, with occasional lapses into cartoon continuity.
Inside Edition reports that she purchased the condo in January of 1994 for $625,000. After an extensive remodel — and an address change — it was sold again for a much larger price tag of $1.72 million. At the time of her murder, Brown was living in a 3,405 square foot condo/Rowhome coop in Brentwood, California, with her children. This was also the site of her murder, which changed the media landscape around celebrities and the courtroom. The Chicago Tribune also reported that Simpson purchased the estate for $650,000 in 1977, when he was at the height of his professional football career. The 6,200-square-foot mansion featured everything from a waterfall to a tennis court to swimming pools, but Simpson was evicted in 1997 after defaulting on the home's mortgage.

Mezzaluna restaurant was situated on the corner of San Vicente Boulevard and Gorham Avenue in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. It is less than 200 yards west of the intersection between South Barrington Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard. At around midnight, Simpson and Goldman's bodies were discovered at her condominium on South Bundy Drive. At exactly 9.37 p.m., Juditha called the restaurant and was relieved to hear that one of the waiters had found her glasses. Later, Juditha would recall how she felt a wave of depression wash over her when she noticed that they were missing. At the time, she didn't understand why she felt so strongly about them, as she could easily just buy another pair.

Apparently scoffed at the idea and instead invited Kato to stay in one of the guest rooms at his mansion on Rockingham, rent free. Kato accepted, thereby sealing his fate of being forever entwined with one of the most famous murder cases in history. But controversy soon erupted in this faux-Springfield mock-up. The homeowner's association wasn’t keen on having a cartoon house that broke conformity requirements by being painted solar yellow. And the current owner had to learn to live with the property being a source of perpetual curiosity for fans of the show who brazenly turn her doorknobs and peer through her windows at all hours of the day and night.
As it turns out, the reality of living in a fantasy can get a little complicated. For those who are unfamiliar with Los Angeles, Rockingham isn't an area we've heard about outside of the Simpson case. In fact, it's not even its own neighborhood — rather, Rockingham is an avenue located in the swanky neighborhood of Brentwood. Rockingham Ave. at the time of the murders — two miles away from Brown Simpson's condo.
The Los Angeles condo has changed hands a couple of times over the years, and the exact identity of the current owner remains unclear — but for good reason. The property was subject to a brutal double homicide, and the aftermath that followed soon transformed it into a gruesome landmark. Nicole, Simpson’s ex-wife, and her friend Ron Goldman were killed there in 1994. Simpson was tried for two counts of murder during a heavily publicized mid-‘90s trial. Although the former football star was found not guilty during the criminal trial, the New York Times reports that he was found liable for the pair's deaths in the ensuing civil trial. He was ordered to pay $33.5 million to surviving family members.
On the night of the meal, Brown's friend, Ron Goldman, was working as a waiter at Mezzaluna. Following the recital, the family went to the Mezzaluna restaurant in Brentwood to celebrate. But without his celebrity status and the prominence of his trial, televised daily for many months world-wide, it’s possible these things would not matter the way they do now. They discerned that even though Simpson often said he was neither black nor white, but merely OJ, this was not how most African-Americans saw him.
Despite his initial acquittal for the murders of Nicole and Ron, OJ Simpson would later be found liable for the wrongful deaths of both persons in the civil court case filed against the former footballer by the victims’ families. The crime scene photos of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman are available online for those with a strong enough stomach to view them. OJ Simpson initially agreed to turn himself in to police but would end up trying to flee on June 17, taking officers on a low-speed chase while driving his white Ford Bronco. Nicole, age 34, was found sprawled at the bottom of the stairs to her condominium with 12 stab wounds to the head and neck and her throat had been severely cut.
Jost roasted everyone from Biden to former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders. But even still, the FY 25 request of $10.99 billion is $1.8 billion, or 20 percent, above the enacted level. If enacted, this would be the highest level of funding for EPA in history. A few weeks after Simpson was acquitted of murder, the general manager of Mezzaluna sparked controversy by claiming that she would serve him if he entered the restaurant. Therefore, you should be respectful and not step foot on the property without permission.
